Impacts of Resistance Int’l festival must get outspread: Afghan cultural expert

Afghan poet and cultural expert underlines need for recognizing the enemies of the Islamic world.

Afghan poet and cultural expert Mohammad Sorour Rajaee has stressed the need for recognizing the enemies of the Islamic world and standing against them with cultural and artistic tools.

In his latest interview with the 16th Resistance International Film Festival, Rajaee pointed to the need that is felt to make more productions regarding the issue of the occupying regime of Israel, saying, “the efforts made by the Iranian artists in various cinematic arenas about the issue of resistance against Israel should be respected.”

Th cultural expert underlined that the enemy has mainly focused on waging cultural war especially in the field of cinema aimed at destroying the resistance and portraying the US as savior of the world.

“Following their repeated defeats in the region, the US and Zionist regime-led enemies of the Islamic world are paying a huge amount of money for waging cultural war each year in the field of cinema,” he added.

“For instance, all the financial expenses of the 2011 Kabul Peace Film Festival were paid by the Americans,” he said.

The Afghan scholar also noted that holding the Int’l Resistance Film Festival is a praiseworthy step, indicating that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian artists can be considered as forerunners in counter-terrorism efforts against Israel.

He reiterated that dubbing the selected works of this festival and distributing them in other Islamic countries can launch a great cultural flow and pave the way for the public to get familiar with the real culture of Islam and illustrating the real face of Islam which has been tarnished by certain countries.

The Afghan expert further underscored that utilizing the capacity of global networks and private media in the world, especially in the Islamic world, can outspread the festival's impact beyond the borders of Iran and the Islamic world.

Rajaee highlighted the importance of supporting the Resistance festival as it has been clear that waging soft and cultural war has reached to its peak.
